Your Account
Your account is your personal identity in Runner. It controls how you sign in, which projects you can access, and where Runner sends notifications. This page covers the full account lifecycle — from registering for the first time to updating your credentials later.
Registering
Open the Runner URL in your browser. If you do not have an account yet, click Sign up on the login page. Enter your email address and choose a password. Passwords must be at least eight characters long, include at least one letter, one number, and one special character, and must not contain spaces. Click Sign Up to submit.
After registering, Runner sends a confirmation email to your address. Your account is inactive until you click the link in that email. If the email does not arrive, ask an Admin to confirm your account manually — see Users & Roles.
TIP
If no user accounts exist yet — for example, on a fresh installation — the sign-up form shows a Create Admin User button instead. The first account created this way is automatically assigned the Admin role.
Signing in
Go to the Runner URL and enter your email address and password. Click Login. If your credentials are correct, Runner redirects you to the home page.
If your account has not been confirmed yet, login is not possible until an Admin confirms it or you click the confirmation link in the email Runner sent when you registered.
Recovering your password
If you have forgotten your password, click Recover it here on the login page. Enter your email address and click Continue. Runner sends a password reset email to that address if an account exists for it. The response is intentionally vague to avoid leaking whether an email is registered.
Click the link in the reset email to open the password reset form. Enter a new password that meets the same requirements as registration. Click Continue — Runner logs you in immediately and redirects you to the home page.
Changing your email address
Open your profile by clicking your avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar and selecting Profile. In the Change Email Address card, enter your new address and confirm with your current password. Click Send Verification Email.
Runner sends a verification link to the new address. Click the link to confirm the change. For security reasons, all your active sessions are invalidated at that point — you will need to sign in again with your new address.
Your new email must be different from your current one.
Changing your password
Open your profile (avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar) and find the Change Password card. Enter your current password, then choose a new password. The new password must meet the same requirements as registration and must be different from the current one. Click Save New Password.
After the change, Runner logs you out of all active sessions. You will be redirected to the login page automatically after a few seconds.
